Good afternoon! Last night we were fortunate to have our friend Ben Nockels of Commonplace books share about his life, and how his reading habits have been impacted throughout that journey. He had so many interesting bits of information about each of the books he brought for us, but in particular was his overarching view on what it means to be a great leader. He encouraged us to read books that teach us to embrace our humanity, and focus on growing our knowledge to better serve our communities. Through that lens, he shared these book titles with us that have impacted his life and enriched his human experience. You can find each of these books at Commonplace Books in Midtown, and we intend to add these to our Halcyon Library as well for our members to check out.

Let us know if you read these books over the holiday break — or if you have any that you’d recommend we add to our library.
Finally, if you’re a member at Halcyon Works, we hope you’ll join us for our Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 19th at 4 pm. We’ll be serving food & drinks, and having a Bookish Dirty Santa. If you’d like to participate, please wrap a copy of your favorite book so that we can’t see the cover, and join us for some holiday fun. You can RSVP to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
